Has anyone taken their Pod to this event, June 19th this year.  Planning to go, but finding RV sites seems challenging.

Any ideas are appreciated, thanks.

We stayed at the KOA in Ouray, Colorado a couple of times. Nice place. Beautiful views.
Hopefully your experience in Telluride will be better than our visit to their wine festival, that closed about 2:30 in the afternoon. After the long drive there, we were disappointed to say the least. We fed a parking meter, bought an untasted bottle of wine from a snooty wine shop & left. The Jeep trail from Ouray to Telluride over Imogene Pass is a blast though...

I assume you left the pod at KOA.  A Pod on Immogene would be tricky to say the least.

Thanks, everyone.  I think I've settled on Ridgeway State Park, about 15 miles from Ouray.  May jump over to Ouray, too, but looks a bit further than Ridgeway, which is 45 min to an hour.

What's Imogene Pass?  I've got a pretty tricked out '03 4Runner, with new Bilsteins, chips, throttle body, exhaust, air intake, and new steel gas tank guard that runs like a banshee.  But I'm scared of heights, lol.

I"m a mandolin player, so hope to find some campground jams while there.  Gee, I wonder if there will be any other 60 year old hippies in Telluride for the festival?

Being scared of heights won't serve you well in that part of the world, even on Hwy 550.  My wife and I were going north from Durango in a car and she was about sitting in my lap rather than looking over the curb edge of the road!

Also, to do most of the passes (including Imogene) you would need suspension work and BIG TIME ground clearance on your 4Runner.

Southwest Colorado is beautiful.

And asking if there'll be hippies in Telluride is like asking if water will be wet.
