brake and tail lights

   the exterior lights (brakes, blinker etc) on the left side of my pod are not working (driver side). I tried cleaning the connectors with no luck. Before I drag it to the dealer (which is always fun--is it the Pod or is it the car) are there any suggestions. 12v fuses seem to be in order in the Trailer.

	fuses on the converter won't affect the lights on the outside of the pod (except the porch light). First step, go to http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx and scroll almost half-way down to the 7-pin diagrams. Start on the Bargeman connection on the TV with a voltmeter and make sure every pin works when it should (easiest way to test the turn/brake pins is to turn on your hazards). If that is ok then you know the problem is on the trailer side. On the trailer side, make sure the battery is connected for this test. Get a scrap piece of wire and using the diagram from above jump from the +12 pin to the brake/turn pin. You might even want to do this test first. If you still can only get one side to work, the next step would be to remove the tail light and see if you are getting voltage (when the pins are jumped) at the rear of the pod. If you are then the final step is to replace the tail light. And welcome.

	Thanks, helpful. As it turns out one of the four-pin connectors to the 7-pin, (as part of the the 7-pin connector, not the car) was corroded. I replaced the 7pin connector and wiring harness with one that has LEDs to indicate the status of each of the pins. Seems like there should be a way to seal the 4 pin connections. Research continues.
