All closed with A/C. It will take care of the humidity. We ran ours on auto during the day so it was quieter between cycles, but always ran on low overnight for the white noise and to mask the cycling of the compressor.

I run the AC with all windows and vents closed and have not had a humidity problem. That being said I believe I have only used it twice. In the 179 be sure you have the fan on HI or LO if it is on AUTO the fan will cycle of and on with the compressor and will drive you crazy.

What is the best combination of vent/window when the air condition is running?

Yes, you need to leave the vent and a window open a crack, any season, unless the A/C is on.  That will create some convective air flow.  Each person loses 1 liter a day, so figure 2 people will lose 2/3 of a liter over 8 hours while sleeping so it needs to be vented.  Even camping at 10 F with both open a crack my electric heater had no problem keeping it warm, and there was little condensation.

As for the speakers I believe it is selection "B" on the Jenson. "A" is for the interior speakers and "C" gets me nothing probably for an AUX speaker. However I must say that radio/DVD is still a bit of a mystery to me. We use it only to play DVD's.

I leave the roof vent open about 1" and open a window about 1/2" seems to work OK.

Three days into maiden voyage with our new 179 and happy with the new rig.

Couple of questions, how do you get the outside speakers to work? We have been in weather that is in the 30s at night so have been using the propane heater which except for being a little noisy works great, but we get a lot of condensation on the inside of the window. Last night I tried leaving the roof vent slightly open but didn't seem to do any good. Any ideas on how to deal with this or is this just something you have to live with,

Had hard rain the first day and night and no leaks, which is a good thing.

My sister who I travel with gets the big bed so I sleep on the dinette
thingy which works just fine for me. The first night I used the collapsible table and cushions but found they tended to slide off and fall on the floor so last night I just used the couch part an\d that worked OK.
