We just finished a month long trip in our 177 to Oregon and California (I'll be posting about the trip itself in another section soon) and had a great time with our 14 month old daughter.  Unfortunately, we're planning on adopting another child by next spring if not earlier, which will make it just too cramped for us inside the Pod.

I need some help with determining how much to sell the 177 for.  Here are the details.  It's a 2014 Hood River Edition 177 that we bought new from Blue Dog RV in Coeur d'Alene, ID, and we live between there and Spokane, WA, now.

We have used it for about five weeks total since we bought it (did almost nothing last year because of the timing in adopting our daughter) and put about 5,000 miles on it.  Everything works perfectly, the exterior looks like it did when we bought it, and the interior is nearly perfect as well.  We have thoroughly cleaned it inside and out.

We have done a couple of minor modifications that probably won't alter the value much, but I think I should mention them.  These include the installation of a small wooden shelf with baskets above the bed to increase storage, a 12 volt socket and USB port on the end of the dinette seat next to the breaker panel, and a sewer hose holder underneath to hold a Rhinoflex hose with fittings.  We also had the E2 weight distributing hitch installed and will be including that with the sale as well.  A few miscellaneous items we'll be including are a 15' blue drinking water hose, two chocks, four leveling blocks, a Rhinoflex hose with fittings, a 30 amp to 15 amp dog-bone adapter, and two NAPA group 24 size deep cycle batteries (two years old now) that have been kept on a good battery maintainer 24/7 except when we were using the Pod.

What do you think would be a reasonable selling price, and where should we advertise it?  We're thinking that around $13k would be a good price, and we're planning on posting it to our local Facebook page and Craigslist.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.  Thanks! Big smile

We had a 2013 177 Hood River. When we purchased our Bullet Premier, the dealer was going to give us $10,000 trade-in for the Rpod. We had purchased it brand new a year earlier and had made improvements. We probably could have gotten $12,000 if we'd advertised but ended up selling it to our son for the $10,000 - at least it was still in the family. Unfortunately, they depreciate really fast, no matter what mods you've made and items you include in the sale. Look at RVTrader, Ebay...see what a comparable unit is selling for just to give yourself a base to work with.

Okay, thanks for the help.  On RV trader, it looks like they're selling for $13.5 to $14k with no WDH, which goes for about $300 new.

For those interested, we just sold the Pod for $12k even.  If we wanted to wait a bit, we might have been able to sell it for a bit more, but I'm content with that.

Glad you were able to sell it so quickly. They are wonderful campers!

Thanks!  It took about 36 hours to sell, much faster than I anticipated.  For what it's worth, the person who bought it saw it on RV Trader.
