Would like to see all models have outside speakers wired or wireless to the DVD player.

Has anyone added any speakers themselves?

Or at the very least external audio outlets so your own speakers could be plugged in.

Uh oh...I just today bought a pair of cheap ($35) speakers at Best Buy that I thought I was going to attach to the tin can sounding CD/DVD player. Does this mean there is really no output? Guess I'll have to check in the morning...and guess I will be making a return.

We have an MP3 player that will hook up to my Bose computer speakers.  They also have outdoor speakers.  The sound is better then the combo they install in the pods.  We opted out of the combo for that reason.

Tusten, there is an output on the TV, but the trick is getting that output outside of the 'pod.  Someone mentioned elsewhere that the output only worked in certain modes (maybe just TV mode?) but I find that hard to believe.  I've never encountered anything like that.

OK- I thought by "external" you were referring to external to the DVD/CD/TV/ unit, which is really all I'm interested in. I just want better speakers than what is attached to the unit and hopefully what I bought yesterday will work- I plan to mount them on both sides of the "entertainment center". External to the rpod (wired at the factory) would definitely be on the wish list!
