Another option would be a can of Silicone spray, just in case the 3 in 1 oil still makes the rubber door mount parts too "grabby." (Silicone typically has a more glistening effect on rubber).
If the 3 'n One Oil OR Silicone spray doesn't quite solve the binding, there's also a spray oil called Tri-Flow, which is perfect in reducing friction with "metal-on-metal" contact points. I used Tri-Flow to free up and "quiet" a clutch-actuating linkage point in the engine bay of my 5-speed car.
If the 3-in-One oil is the best fix, let us know! However, you will STILL find Silicone Spray a useful purchase for myriad of other uses, (such as the aluminum worm-drive slide-tracks used by our slide out mechanisms).
(Caution, this post represents only my humble 2 cents based on years of lubrication experience....)
But proceed carefully..... remembering that Clark Griswald had once been noted for his expertise in
"exterior illumination" previous to Christmas, 1987, anyway.
Merry Christmas, fellow Podders.
