The left-rear storage area under the queen bed on the 171 is hard to get to. Lifting the bed is a pain. I'd like another door on the outside like the rear storage area has on both sides. Or, extend the rear storage area on that side so that area is part of it. So instead of a "L" shaped storage area accessible from the inside, take the small leg of the "L" and make it part of the outside storage area. |

One of the under bench storage areas in the 174 is accessible from the inside as well as the outside which makes me concerned about a small person with a standard key being able to get inside while we are away. That brings me back to the discussion about changing out the lock on the outside sorage doors- or at least placing a bolt on bench from the inside.

Good point. Since there is only a thin piece of wood separating the outside storage area from the rest of the storage under the queen bed, a standard key and a serated knife would get you inside the 171. |
