Curious about the wall construction of the R Pod 179.5. I am sure it is laminated panels but what is the middle part constructed of? How much weight can it hold say for a shelf for a small burner grill? I know there will be issues of location. Hose reel for the exterior? Just stuff less than 15 pounds.

The wall is indeed laminated panels. This post shows a factory tour. It is a little dated, but the basic construction is still accurate.Unles you can find one of the aluminum frame members to which you can mount, the skin of the wall would not be adequate to mount a grill. If the area behind where you want to mount it is hidden (but reachable), you could bolt through and put a backing plate on the inside. That would provide sufficient support to hold the weight of a shelf or grill. Note that I am not saying washers. I mean a backing plate that is of sufficient size to distribute the stress over a large area. I would wait until after the warranty (and extended warranty if you purchased it) has ended before doing something like this as it will void the wall's warranty to modify it in this way.
