Mine too! I grew up in the shadow of the IMS and, later, was on the Town of Speedway PD....many memories. It will always be THE race.

Though a gob of rain just went through, hopefully things will dry out and there will be a good run for the pole. 230+mph....WOW! I'm curious to see how well Fernando Alonzo does this year.

Agreed....speeds are high. Though (without searching) I believe Arie Lyundyke (spelling?) still holds the one lap and 4 lap records - near 240mph (1990s?).   I'm guessing they will change the rules package in a year or two to slow them down again.

News flash....local TV stations are reporting that Scott Dixon (2017 pole winner)and Dario Franchitti were robbed at gunpoint today while waiting in the drive-thru line at a Taco Bell, a little East of the track. They are fine. With the help of a police K-9, the juvenile perpetrators have been apprehended.
