First night out with new HR rPod 179. 😳

Stressors:
Refrigerator continues to beep on gas
Microwave, AC, outlets won't work (only work in shore power?)

Pored over the manuals at the remote campsite. All referred to gfci reset button.
No reference as to where the reset button is.

Any help will make us less stressed with our 179.

Thx 👍🏻

Others more knowledgeable than me will help with your questions, but, yes, shore power is needed for a/c, etc in lack of a generator.

You were very brave to go out on your first trip so ambitiously, many of us start out camping as a 'dry run' in our driveways!

I hate to hear when the first-time turns negative. It's nice that you are able to get out and use your r-pod, I hope that you are able to look beyond these 'blips' and enjoy your experience, and yes, get to someplace with shore power if you want that a/c.

You are correct, you will have no 110 plugs or air conditioner, oven or the ability to run the fridge on 110 if your not plugged in to shore power or have a generator. Also always run the fridge on propane, 12v will kill the battery overnight, is the propane tank full and turned on?. Also it will beeps if the door isn't closed properly. There reset button on the fridge you may need to press for 3 seconds if there was an issue. The 110 gfci reset in my 180 is down by the fridge/bed area. Good luck and I admire your adventurness!

Hate it when things don't work. For the fridge - mine only clicks when I forget to turn on the propane. So, make sure you have propane and that it's turned on. Those times I turn the fridge on before I turn on the propane I have to turn the fridge off then back on.

On my 171 the gfci reset is on the 110v plug in the kitchen. Right below the counter top. Check all the plugs until you find the one with the reset button in the middle.

Also do not use your oven and air conditioner at the same time. It will trip a 30 amp breaker.

Looks like you got your questions answered................my suggestion is practice and patience. Once you get a couple of the bugs worked out you will have a blast!!

That has not been my experience, but I don't know what other current draws you may have had at the time your circuit tripped.

+1 to Keith-N-Dar, the use of the oven/micro and AC at same time should NOT trip 30A CB. 30A is capable of running a Pod, all systems.

The convection oven was on and cooking. Initially both were on and working fine. One LED light also on. My take is the initial current draw when the AC compressor kick on tripped it.

Rawest50, I can't argue with you, it happened, but I will say it shouldn't.

I'm with Leo!

When I first joined this group several years ago, I was a bit anxious and asked lots of questions. Most, if not all, were answered with learned and experienced responses. I learned tons! I still ask questions...mostly about fishing and beer...and still get great advice!! Pod On!!

The question is who can't run a Pod on a 30 A service. All systems.

On the 179, the GFI should be mounted a few inches below the mattress.

Oh, you all are the best! Thank you to everyone. Not one of you called us idiots like we felt last night. Every single appliance is doing its job. The AC is working to keep us comfortable here in the 106 degree Hells Canyon. Yay❗️
And with the Blue Ox sway bar, pulling "Roxi" is easypeasy--so far. From the time we purchased to the time we retrieved it, we forgot a lot. So, again, you on this forum won our hearts. Are all Rpod owners so cool?

We think one of you could write, publish, and sell a book that translates all the operation manuals into a helpful guide. Maybe An Idiot's Guide for New Rpod Owners.

Muchas gracias

Except on our 2016 RP-179, it is right next to the refrigerator.

I was told the reset button on the 179 refrigerator is actually the on/off button.  Just hold it down for 5 seconds.  Also, as mentioned, make sure door is closed completely.  Good luck!
