We are considering replacing our camper a Vibe with a Nash 23B. Our tow vehicle is a 2014 Ram 1500 quad cab with Hemi 5.7 V8 3.55 rear axle. The Ram has a 140" wheel base and the Nash 23B is 27.6 feet long, dry weight about 4,800 lbs. tongue weight 430 lbs. My question is will our Ram with a WDH with sway control be able to safely tow this camper? I am concerned that maybe the wheelbase of the Ram is a little short for a 27.6 foot camper.    David and Danette

Really about tow capabilities of the vehicle. That wheelbase is fairly long. What is the GCWR ( Gross Combination Weight Rating), the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) and the Maximum Tow capability. The axle weight rating could also be a factor. Just from looking I would say that vehicle is capable of towing the trailer.

The Nash line of four season campers seem very nice. We didn't see any when looking, but did look at some others from the same company, Arctic Fox line, liked them.

I see no issue with your truck at that weight. It appears with the 3.55's you have an 8,650 tow rating, assuming short box and 4x4..

Our Ram is a tradesman express 4x2 65RFE 6 speed 8,850 towing limit. The power I don't see a problem I thought maybe the Wheel base might be a problem. I never towed a travel trailer this long when searching the internet I found some who recommended a 3/4 ton truck for better control. That made me a little concerned. So far two have said that it should be OK that helps me to feel better.  Thank you
