I happened out on the the Forest River R-pod site today looking for some information.  I noticed they have added some more items you can buy direct from them.

TAUPE  Cover - $300.00 plus shipping
CAMOUFLAGE Cover - $375.00 plus shipping

Custom Carpet Inlay - $150.00 plus shipping.

I just had a quote from 2 dealers for the Taupe Cover for $450.00 plus shipping and $475.00 plus shipping.  Guess those quotes get trashed.

I guess it cost a bunch to send 15 pounds!  Nothing like padding the bill.

Love the carpet. Wasn't sure I was going to, but we got it and it was perfect as well left all shoes out of the rpod so nice to not be on cold floor.

Sorry, splante, one of the things that I like about the r*pod is the lack of carpet!

I do not think that carpet is healthy thus have an aversion to it.

On the pricing for the covers, 50% mark up for accessories is not excessive.  The dealers are not going to be happy with FR for selling these items direct!

Our dealer told us not to buy a cover.  We told them that we were going to store the unit in central Florida.  Their technical expert said that the best thing for the exterior is simply to wax the unit twice a year.  During the familiarization session we asked him if he had any recommendations for items to add to the unit.  He recommended only installing a MaxxAir passive vent cover for the bathroom vent.

The dealer is LazyDays which we highly recommend.  They met the Internet pricing on that "other" dealer in Ohio!  LazyDays is in Seffner FL just east of Tampa right off of I-4 after the I-75 exit.

I couldn't find the carpet.  Can you post a link to it please?
