Having trouble getting our water pump to shut off. When I turn it on, it runs until I have the water running for a short time and then it will come on randomly and not shut off until I do the same - run some water. Any thoughts. Thanks Gary

It's either a leak, or your WH is empty. The air in the system (especially the WH) is compressible, so the pump might run for a long time trying to compress it.

Open up the tap in the kitchen to see if there's any air in the system. If it sputs and spurts a bit, then that is the issue.

If it doesn't, then you may have a leak, or possibly a faulty pump, or possibly a check valve leaking water back into the holding tank.

Well, something's wrong....  I don't know how the pump can run if there's not a faucet open or a leak.  But then I don't know why it would shut off.

Is the water heater full?  Look under the trailer to see if there are any drips.  Or the bathroom floor.  Sometimes the rear of toilet will leak and drain into the shower.

Greetings
Have you checked the filter on the pump inlet?  It sounds like the bowl may be cracked or it's not tight and leaking air.  Most dealers have new filters in stock.  Check it closely.

+1 with GlueGuy....last trip, my water pump ran for a LONG time.  I waited thinking it the WH was filling up.  I finally shut it off, then restarted it.  It ran for a few seconds than stopped.  I assumed it was air in the line.....
