I'm looking to get a gps unit over the next few days, i'm waiting for cyber monday to see if I can get a deal. I am seriously leaning toward the Garmin LMT 770 RV unit. It looks like it fits the bill for low clearance avoidance (programmable vehicle size capable) as well as trip planning for stops along the route, and gas stations that fit the rig. Anyone recommend a unit they know about ?? The Garmin is 340.00 - 400.00 depending on where you buy it.

I have one, the best. Did a product review on it. Super programmable for your specific RV, super informative, best GPS I ever owned including vehicle installed, you'll be happy.

Thanks Mike, great to know. Do you only program your trailer length? or do you put the combined tow vehicle and trailer

The whole shooting match. That is best way. TT, spare, hitch and truck and receiver. Mine was 44' as I recall.

I've been opting for navigation via CarPlay. I replaced the factory head unit in our Highlander with one that supports CarPlay and the new TV we'll be getting in a few weeks already supports CarPlay (it has nav too, but I may not use it much).
