Hello All,

177 is in storage for the winter but need to make a cutting board to cover the stove top. Does anybody have the dimensions for the 2 burner stove in the 177?

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Scroll down to the Product Information section, and you will find the dimensions. The length and width will be right but the depth would be the total depth, not just what is above the counter. Mine isn't here so I can't measure either right now. If I remember correctly, you will probably want to have legs of about 1-1/2" to clear the burners and knobs.

We made a cutting board like you're talking about.  Be sure to give it feet that go up high enough to clear the burners.  From experience I can say 1 1/2" works.  You can find standard cutting boards in Amazon that fit quite nicely over the stove and have really nice finished edges on them.

If you check those dimensions against the manual, you'll see that those are the cutout dimensions (11-5/8" x 16-3/8"). They don't take the overhang into account. I never trust the dimensions that Amazon quotes.

IKEA has a laminated  1/2" bamboo cutting board that fits exactly with 1 1/2" legs.  I know their products change all the time and it was a couple of years ago that we were near an IKEA store.

Since no one really answered your question, I went out and measured our cook top.  the top is 18 1/2" wide and 13 1/2"front to back.   the knobs are the highest point at  1 3/4" high.
Good luck with your project

Thank you for measuring. I apologize for my assuming that the measurements given on Amazon would be accurate.

Since I wanted a large work area on top of our stove, I bought a 14"X20" bamboo cutting board from Pier 1 -

www.pier1.com/extra-large-bamboo-cutting-board/3505834.html?scid=scplp3505834&sc_intid=3505834&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=PLA&utm_campaign=google_pla&s_cid=pla0000003&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIycu_oeGu3wIVGLbACh05cQkkEAQYASABEgJOmPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

and using a Forstner bit (a marvellous bit for woodworking I'd never heard of previously)

drilled centered holes in the ends of four 3/4" diam, 1 1/2" long dowels.

https://www.finewoodworking.com/2016/06/01/center-a-hole-to-any-dowel

I wanted to use dowel screws but settled for regular wood screws inset into the legs and then screwing into the board after I had trouble with their thick dimensions. Rubber tips keep the board from sliding. Next time, I'll use 1 " dowels, 3/4" are too narrow and dowel screws may work, then.

Lippert makes a real nice acacia wood one that can be turned over and used as a tray.

here is what i did and we are pleased with the outcome.  I used HDPE cutting boards from Sam's, about $8 each i think and comes in a two pack.  fits between wall and stove top when cooking.
