So I was on my way to camping world for the remainder of my warranty work....last time they put a brand new FR black tank pipe hanger on for me as the original one broke....imagine that.  Hadn't used the camper since....and I have people pulling up to me saying I had a pipe dragging on the ground...yep the brand new FR hanger broke and now need a new pipe and all.  I had bought the plumbers hanger to use on it but hadn't done it yet...will this time soon as it gets home.

The second time is what did it for me, especially since FR had installed a second hanger on that pipe and both of them came loose. Angry

Cutting edge engineering challenge, hanging a plastic drain pipe. Maybe FR needs to convene a special oversight commission to investigate this issue, perform a root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions Thumbs Down

When we were at the Kentucky MiniMini/10th Anniversary RPod rally, I spoke with some of the FR representatives there and pointed out the repair I had done. I was told that this was being looked into, but so far, I have not seen anything indicating a change in how the hanger is done has been implemented.

Does anyone with one of the newest RPods have any information about how the hangers are done now? Is it still with the weak strap and nut and bolt that can come loose or has FR actually listened and changed it to eliminate this problem?

I have to admit, I've never looked at other TTs to see how they might be different.

This is sad this is still happening. Mine came loose last year coming back from Florida and I put a better bolt and locking nut on it and a hanging strap. Haven't had any issues since. It just isn't that difficult a fix. Sorry to see it happened to yet another fine R-Pod owner. JM
