I am going to be storing my R-Pod where it might not be secure against battery theft .I have dual batteries behind the propane tank . Open for suggestions on how to lock them down without having to remove them every time . ------------- Happy Camper |

Lockable steel box to delay the amateurs. If someone really wants your batteries they are gone. ------------- Michael |

I got a trailer tongue box from harbor freight reasonable....use self tapping screws to mount it, put batteries in, close lid and lock. fits nicely behind the propane tanks. ------------- 2019 RPOD 190 2017 Chev Colorado 4 X 4 Yellow Lab and English Springer Spaniel |

Or, if you have them in standard plastic boxes, consider making a lockdown mechanism like the one I made for our 179. I think it would be enough to convince a potential battery thief to look elsewhere for easier pickings. You can see both version 1 and version 2 (the better one in my opinion since it is easier for me to unlock and get to the batteries) in my mods (see link in signature).

Thanks for the replies guys . . being as cheap as I am I have made this up for securing my batteries. Sure it is just a deterrent and the chain could be cut but hopefully they would move on for easier pickings .
