My rpod has a 30 gallon black tank. What is the recommended starting point for the amount of water you should start with when adding toilet chemicals?

You don't need to add the treatments until there's something to treat. In fact, biologic treatments won't survive if there's nothing for them to "eat".

I usually give it a half dozen+ good flushes then add a packet.

Have not, as of yet added any chemicals..been two years for our current tank, was 6 for our last tank.

I do believe the instructions tell you how many gallons of water to add before adding the chemicals..

A toilet bowl full of water or two should do it to start. That is what I do when adding the biological treatment I use.
