I've read two ways of installing a window in the door. I am going to tackle this project but am really curious as the best method. Should I do it while the door is attached?? or, take off the door?? Comments welcomed! ---179 model ------------- Namiste |

I removed the door, much easier to lay out and cut out area for window. Got window from Vintage Technologies. ------------- Mike Carter 2015 178 " I had the right to remain silent, I just didn't have the ability." |

+1 on removing the door. Make sure you have help though to hold it. I did it by myself and ended up scratching the fender trying to put the door back on.

i did mine with the door attached. Get someone to help hold door for cutting and window placement. no problem.

We did ours with the door on. EasyPeasy. The biggest tip is to have a shop vac handy, preferably with a helper running it while you cut.. there will be styrofoam bits everywhere. https://postimg.cc/KKMGcLyv">  https://postimg.cc/qtKx0mbb">  ------------- |

That hole looks familiar, except that I had already removed all the loopy decals. It's nice to have a window in the door. I think a pain to remove and replace, I vote cut in place, like I did the slideout window on my 2017 179.
