I put up a new flag pole. I used to do the little wooden pole, but, now I love this thing. Hope the photo works, let me know if it doesn't

Sweet, I love it.  Now to the nuts and bolts.  Where did you purchase it and can you fly a larger 4 x 6 ft flag or still the 3 x 5 like I do on my plastic flagpole?  Also, when disassembled, how long of a bag do you store it in?

I had a local machine shop weld a vertical metal tube onto the spare tire carrier. I use it for an antenna mast but it could easily be used as a flagpole holder.

Amazon sells them. It is a 20 foot pole by  "violamart".  It was on sale for 49 bucks a few months back, it's about 57 bucks now. I fly the 3 by 5 flag, but i think the 4 x 6 would work, though it might get stressful in high winds. It folds up to just over 4 feet tall. I made 2 clamps that bolt onto my stromberg bike rack and it really looked great.

I went to Harbor freight and bought mine for around $45.00. I install it on the spare tire carrier using the PVC ground sleeve along with a pair 4 1/2” dryer hose clamps. I use the top of spare tire to keep the flag off the ground when hoisting and lowering. I illuminate the flag at night by wrapping the pole with a red white and blue rope light. Keep a pipe wrench in your tool box for when if a section gets stuck in the up position because when you raise the section and if you twist too tight it will not unlock to lower. I only raise the pole high enough to keep the flag off the pod (about 15 feet). I store the closed 5 foot section in my TV.

Very nice! I especially appreciate that your setup ensures the flag won't be rubbing or brushing against anything. I see too much of that, and it makes me very unhappy. Thanks for sharing your setup.
