We picked up our new 195 this week. It is much roomier than expected and the bed was very comfortable. Our Dodge Durango didn’t know that it was towing the r pod!   Our gas mileage dropped but that was expected. We already did our first mod- the dinette cushions are being reupholstered. Our cats, even though they are declawed, would destroy the factory vinyl. WE LOVE IT! we are looking forward to August when we will travel from hot Florida to eastern Canada.

Glad to hear that. My wife really wants to go see one, but they are not very available around here yet. I want to see one before I buy it. I hope you are happy with it and please keep us updated. I saw a video that looked like the pass thru storage compartment was really large. That would be great if it is.

Yes it is very large. I found that all of the storage is amazing. We are going to add a towel rack and shelves in the bathroom. The pantry could easily be modified to have a large hanging space as well as shelves. Our purposes are better suited for just shelves. We like the quality of the unit so far. The AC is a little loud but that is to be expected!

I found a dealer with a 195 on the lot, I will be touring it tomorrow. Although I'm not prepared to buy it yet, I can't wait to see it. I don't want to switch campers mid season, so I'm not buying till fall, or spring.

It seems so much bigger, well, it actually is. I have a 172 with no bump out, so this thing is huge compared to mine. I think the layout is so spacious, and the storage is crazy good. The pass thru is huge, but mine comes with the pull out cook top on one side, so it's not a true pass thru if I leave it in there. It is easily removable so I could only keep it in sometimes. It's so much bigger than my current pass thru that I will probably be fine.

Now it's time to go truck-shopping and then you can change your signature lines both at the same time!

Not sure what I will do yet. I pick it up in 2 weeks or so. I'm going to maine july 2nd, so no real time for mods. I am thinking first thing is new tires. I want some carlisle E rated tires on it.

Ye of little faith.  I see frontiers pulling double axles many times. I know a guy that pulls almost 6000 pounds quite often. the 195 is only 1000 pounds more than my 172 which I pull effortlessly. I do not anticipate an issue. If I towed in the rockies everyday, maybe I'd worry.

what are you towing the 195 with? And going to Maine? are you in New England? if so mind me asking where you found the 195? I just bought a 179 as my first... but really liked the layout of the 195.

My 179 came with the outside kitchen as well but am looking to remove it as its the only outdoor storage to the camper! valuable space right there!

ps... CONGRATS!!!

Hi tonga, I am towing with a 2015 Nissan Frontier. Its rated at 6300 pound tow capacity, I believe I won't quite hit 80% of my capacity. Yes i'm in new england. I found mine in connecticut, they had only 2, I'm the first one they sold. I was up in new hampshire at coldsprings r.v, they say they'll have some in july. I'm telling you, this thing is really awesome.

thanks for the heads up! I'm in north central MA! got mine at Pete's RV in Plainville, MA but they didn't know if or when they'd be getting any of the 195's. I didn't want to go over 20' on my first one and have a 2015 Ford Explorer AWD. Pulls the 179 without an issue even with full tanks!

We tow with a new Dodge Durango! We drive 2200 miles round trip from Florida to Ohio to save $10,000 on the new 195. I ordered it with TV, hitch and microwave. I didn’t want the outdoor kitchen.   We will be driving to eastern Canada in August!

Where will you be in Maine?  I am in Bath now with my RPod in my mom's driveway.  People are stopping by asking to see it.  :)
