We are a new pod owners - 2020 - 195! The gentleman that did our walk through recommended we change our locks. So we changed locks. We went with the RV lock. We thought price was high, but looks good & we love it. We got the door & pass throughs @ the same time so that they are keyed like - has the key fob & key pad. There is a switch inside that allows you to turn off the batteries to the locks so you have to use key if that is what you want. We love it.

Congrats on your new pod!!! I also just purchased a 195. I will pick it up within 2 weeks or so. I already have the rv locks installed on my current 172. I will swap it over. You will love it. the switch on the lock turns off the fobs. The batteries will die much faster if you use the fobs. I don't use mine, and the batteries last at least 1 1/2 years.

We have an RV Lock on our 2016 179 as well. We also replaced the lock on the storage area with a 4-digit combination lock, since that uses the same ubiquitous key. ------------- Alan 2022 R-Pod 196 "RaptoRPod" 2022 Ram 1500 Lone Star 4x4 Three cats |
