Hello again from Ontario.
I have a 2016 182G. I am looking for an R Dome. So I had the local dealer look it up for me. Big money for a new one! So I am on the hunt for a used one. Having some issues / worries about whether or not all R-domes one size fits all. I am told no they are not. So my 2016 182G needs r-dome 747.FGN13.102 I know a 2012 182G takes a 747.BLU13.102 And a user on here jimandclare have a 2016 178 Green r dome for sale with part number 747GRC13.102 My question is the letters seem to indicate color and all the numbers are the same. so would a 747GRC13.102 that fits a 2016 178 r-pod fit my 2016 182G that needs 747.FGN13.102 ? The numbers are the same the letters seem to be for color and I don't care what color my r-dome is as long as it fits. Sorry for the lengthy post!  ------------- 2016 R-pod 182g Dodge Ram 1500 |

The big problem with original domes were the size of the kedar rail, smaller diameter on the 09-10 models 11 and later larger diameter. You have the same size kedar rail 12 vs. 16 model year so that is not an issue plus you are looking at one coming off a 182G which is the same as your model so I see no problem at all. As you wisely bring up, color will be different but so what? It will fit

Actually I should have not mentioned the other 182G. I didn't explain that very well. The R dome I want to buy is for a 178 to fit my 182G. Both are 2016 models. I wonder if that will work? ------------- 2016 R-pod 182g Dodge Ram 1500 |

Yes, both the 182G and 178 are 20ft. long. You are good.
