| Need to get away from work for a few days and thinking about camping here as the have a large lake to take the kayaks to. Anyone been here and know of any decent loops to stay on? It is going to be my oldest son and I leaving the wife and dog home. |

We were there 4 times last October, plus I've been a few times to hike the Furnace trail and La Ho trail. Haven't taken my kayak yet, they require a launch permit. We've been on the southern parts of B and C, marked for dogs. A, B and half of C is shaded, the rest of C and D are in the open. If you can get an end spot like 43 or 44 or 144 you'll get a large site with no neighbors. If you stay in the southern portion of C there is a path between 86/87 and 68/69 for easy access to the bath house on the B loop. Just don't get one of the sites I just listed because you get lots of foot traffic by your site. Oh, and we'll probably be back several times this October, including to participate in the Halloween festival. Its a big affair with lots of volunteer work which draws big crowds.

We stayed at this park and have put this one on the must visit again list. Had a great time out on the lake with my son, sites seemed very roomy and we almost had the park to ourselves as we went during the week. Huge pool which we did not use.      uploads/431/Codorus7.JPG -  |

| I was on site 104 - right in front of the water tower. I liked them right around the tower as the seemed very spaced apart. I'm hoping to book a weekend in October but not sure with other plans going on. |

Update, we just booked for this weekend, site 136. Yes on pets, no on electric. No big deal this weekend because its going to be cool so no A/C is needed. We've never stayed in that specific area, trying something new. Just got back from a great weekend - perfect weather, perfect temps. I didn't realize the section we booked was on the edge of the meadow, I didn't take our EZ-ups since they weren't calling for rain. So we spent both days chasing the shadow of the tree on our site. No big deal, and we were very comfortable.

In site 140 this weekend. A bit windy to make a fire so I'm surfin' inside tonight. Have to go home tomorrow to pick up all of my clothes and my girl's cheerleading stuff - those things got lost in the shuffle when we were packing this afternoon. At least the TV and camper are mobile. I spent 2 1/2 hours last night pulling both half way across my back yard BY HAND because I was an idiot and didn't pull the 'pod out 2 days ago when the ground was dry. Noooooo, I had to wait until it was soaked. No traction once I was hooked up. Nada. I had to go buy a 100' steel rope to use with my come-along. Today I'm exhausted and half my muscles ache. Aaaaaaand, back from our final trip. Site 100 this time, this was the big Halloween weekend. TONS of kids both nights, we bought 2 cases of candy online and didn't have much left. I'll need to post pics of the Pumpkin Pod (that is the kid's name for it) later, it looked pretty neat. Only downside is my wife lost her phone somewhere between the campground and where the kids cheered this afternoon. I retraced our steps and its nowhere to be found. We've never lost a phone before so this isn't a bad habit, just a pain.

Back again from the annual Halloween in the Park event. We had the pod dressed up as the Pumpkin Pod again, I'll need to find a picture. More kids than ever this year, I bet we spent $150 on candy for the weekend. As many others did we ducked out earlier than we wanted to on Sunday morning so we could beat the rain and get the pod unpacked, and the house prepped for the hurricane.
