Hi all,

I am taking delivery of our new RPOD 190 this Thursday. As there was a cold snap last week, the unit has already been winterized.

To ensure a complete walkthrough, I am wondering whether I should request the dealer to ‘de-winterize’ it before the delivery.  That way during the walkthrough, we will actually see all water faucets, pumps, heater, tanks, drain etc working, and avoid any related problems, leaks etc.

The problem is that the sales person is now reluctant to get it ‘de-winterized’.  I suppose on the PDI form, they will mark all those systems as tested. But that is not same as seeing it in operation in person before the delivery, right?

Any words of advice?

Thanks,

Atul

Just my thoughts -

Will you be using it before next spring? If so, have the salespeople do a 'walk thru' on the winter systems you will need to use. None of these will involve the plumbing. Have it noted that on the forms you will require a second 'walk thru' in the spring when the unit is still under warranty.

The walk thru is mainly to familiarize you with the features of the trailer, altho major blunders may/will be discovered.

Whatever - Make sure the discharge pipe hangers are there and the black tank flush works (my pet peeves)

Thanks for the idea about a second walkthrough in the spring. Smile

Thanks....but we could not  bring it home today as the 7-pin connector of R-pod did not fit into our KURT Bluetooth brake controller.  The connector just did not go fully in - so it did not latch in. It did not go into KURT connector on our vehicle either.

In fact, it did not fit any of the R-pods on the lot. However,  7-pin connector of another RV fit into the brake controller just fine.

Has anyone else noticed this with 2020 models?

Ps Now they are proposing to replace the cable with a compatible one and we have to go again to get the RPOD
