I think its interesting that you can advertise a function on here when the function is being setup on R-Pod Nation.  But R-Pod Nation won't allow a link to this site.  Another drawback to that site to add to the list.

Terry

PS: Good luck with the event!!

If we are on r-pod nation are we not welcome here? I thought both sites were for the enjoyment of people who enjoys r-pods and camping with any camper.

Over the thankgiving holidays we camped at Goose Island in Rockport and Palmetto near Gonzales and enjoyed both. Palmetto may be to small for a gathering, only 20 RV sites, but it is a sweet place to camp. Do you guys have any idea what the dates will be for 2012 gatherings? Would like to get them on the calendar.   Clark.

PS: Also don't mind hosting if there is enough interest in coming to southeast Texas. We enjoy going up to Walnut Ridge at Martin Dies S P and it's plenty big.

Spent last weekend at Martin Dies State Park, a great weekend for camping. Hi 48 low in the 30's. Sure did enjoy the rPods heater. First camp fire we have had in Texas since the draught. Love winter camping.

It's pretty darned hot here in Texas and also in Louisiana during July. However, we just returned from a quick trip to the Coushatta Indian Resort and Casino in Kinder, LA - just north of Lake Charles. We're not gamblers, went mainly for a trip away from home and some golf. Turns out it's a very nice campground - all but one site are pull-throughs with all hook-ups including Wi-Fi. And if you have the Good Sam directory, there's an ad there that allows one night free for one nights stay and there's usually a coupon on the website. It cost us $60 for 5 nights. Plus the golf course was terrific. Normal rates $50 for cart, gps, range balls and Tuesday is Sr. day and the rate is $25. A great deal. We didn't think the casino food was very good; however, the desserts in the café were good. Bottom line - it could be a good place for a get-together. We already have tentative summer plans - heading north - but might be interested in something in the fall or next spring.
