New RPOD owner.  Fridge ignites but will not stay lit.  Thoughts?
Thanks in advance,

Did you purge the line of air? Best thing is to turn on the stove and get it running steady, then shut it off and try the fridge again.

Yes, line is purged.  Ran stove and gas is flowing.

Next thing I'd try is vacuuming out the flue and gas orofice area. Diisconnect 12V from the fridge for awhile to reset and try again. If that doesn't work then you might try this manual.

Hope its not the control boards, those are outrageously expensive.

It does work on 120Vac and 12Vdc, right?

If you go in back and open the panel, you should hear clicking. The h/w tank will make 3 attempts to light. With out getting to close (it's goes whoooosh if it lights) see if you smell propane. If you smell propane, it's probably an igniter problem. Might need a new igniter board. igniter board is less than 100 dollars on amazon

Yeah, I've tried to blow everything out.  Fridge works on 12V and Electric.  The igniter clicks and I can see the flame and then it goes out...it just won't stay lit.

Curious as to the ambient temp in the area behind the fridge (pull vent panel and stick a thermometer in there). There is a small possibility that if it is very hot in the compartment (it is close to 90 where I am now, and if that compartment is facing the sun, it could be very hot in there), that the sensor to keep gas flowing is thinking the heat exchanger is too hot and stopping the flow. Long-shot, but may be worth looking into.

Took everything apart.  Blew it clean.  Seems to work now.  Thank you everyone for the information and suggestions.  I appreciate your responses.  Call RV dealership yesterday and they said they had an opening July 8th.  Very happy not have to wait that long!

Hey Kanikk,

Just curious, what was the outcome of the fridge going out using propane? Did the dealer find anything wrong, or did it just keep working on its own?
