Looks like a copy of one of Gulfstream's Vista Cruisers.  Nice floor plan, but far from the old concept of the 171.

I have not seen one. Been awhile since I've been to a dealer. I wonder how big you have to get before you stop calling it an Ultra-Lite. This trailer is like 25 feet long and weighs in at around 4600. Is it dual axles?

More like 6485 lbs. UVW is 4574 lbs and a CCC of 1911 lbs. That is definitely a middle weight trailer.
I would imagine it's two-axle; it also looks like the tires/wheels are tucked in under the body.

Yes, the pictures I saw on Facebook are that it is indeed a dual-axle trailer.

There was a RV ad from a Florida dealer with picture. The trailer was single axle. This trailer is almost 11 feet tall. There does not seem to be any availability in my area, but I'm not interested.

GlueGuy, +1, I wouldn't call this an UltraLite. Still looking for a pic. I saw an add for a 202, but not sure it was a real pic of trailer.

The pictures Travis posted on Facebook are of an actual built model (possibly prototype, but he said they were in production). The RP202 definitely has a double-axle.

It does defeat the purpose of the reason most people buy an R-Pod in the first place.  They're smaller, lighter and more nimble.  This is none of those, it is just your run of the mill average travel trailer.

What the HECK is a dual axle?

Or do you mean tandem axles?

Just being picky...you know, like offgrid...

Still tapping my toes! Fun video...

See? I could hear you listening....

But seriously, in transportation/trailers, 'dual' means side by side, 'tandem' means one ahead of the other.

Dual wheels, but tandem axles.

Weird Al is my fav.

If you've ever had to deal with corporate doublespeak you'll love this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyV_UG60dD4 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyV_UG60dD4

And getting back on topic, I can "visualize" the execs at FR "monetizing their assets" in the rPod brand by "building a consensus" to introduce the 202 which has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN COMMON with the original rpods besides the name.

I myself do not like the walk through bathroom that is what we had with our Vibe. It does save space and makes more use of the space allowing more room for other parts of the camper. I was told by a salesman our Vibe model was discontinued because of the walk through bathroom it was not liked.

The pictures of an actual RPod 202 posted by Travis on Facebook clearly show both the model number and that it has two axles in a tandem arrangement. And, for the record, my first post said double, not dual axles. Big smile

It looks nice, but that is a far stretch from the older RPods. Certainly takes a full size pickup to tow that.

Looks awesome and I have been waiting for an R-Pod with an awesome layout like this. Already ordered mine, should come in December. I think this fits a nice niche of folks that love the quality & shape of the R-Pod but want a little more room/separation between where guests/kids sleep and adults sleep. The weight is still within reason for a mid-size truck to tow as well which is awesome.

Does anyone know if there is a main thread for this edition?

Wondering how big of a TV can be installed in the bedroom area, anyone know?

Do they sell any custom fitted covers for it yet? If so can you direct me to who?

Thanks!

Indeed, at some time they will have to call it a "heavyweight."  Some friends of ours sold their home, purchased a 48 foot 5th wheel that had 6 slides, triple (3) axles and a empty weight of 19,500 lbs!  He could not tow that with your average SUV; he had a 1 ton with the Duramax motor.  I guess that is big enough.  Big enough travel trailer.  Big enough truck.

The mobile frat house kinda makes sense. Their hazing ritual could be to lock all the pledges in there with a couple of kegs and close the slides up for a day or two.Evil Smile

I met a guy last year pulling a rig like that. Gross weight of the entire rig (trailer plus the 1-ton pulling it) was just under 30,000 lbs. He told me he was required to get a commercial license to operate a rig that big.

We bought a 202 a little over a month ago. We have taken two trips with it so far and love it. I have ordered a better mattress for it already. Only downside is we are having to take it to the dealer tomorrow to have the AC checked out.  It got into the high 70's low 80's this last weekend and when we truned the AC on, it did not work.

Let's rule out the basics.

You were plugged into shore power, weren't you?
The breaker was on in the power panel?
The thermostat was showing that you had power to it?

That is enough to start.

Hello, apologies for resurrecting/hijacking an older thread, but I didn't want to start a new one on the same subject.
My wife and I are looking at a new trailer, and the 202 is on the short list. I saw a couple of posters on this thread had ordered and/or received a 202 so I was wondering if they have any complaints, comments or ???? Even if we ordered one now it would be a wait for it to be built.
We have an A-Frame camper that we had to completely rebuild that we are using now, so this would be a big step up in size for us.

Thanks

We bought a 202 in Dec. of 2020.  Second trip out the tv fell off the wall and broke (inadequate installation at factory), the refrigerator (Dometic) ruptured a line and filled interior with ammonia gas, and check valve to outside exploded and filled kitchen area interior with water (we caught it right away).  Dealer fixed everything.  Love the layout.  Hopefully all problems are fixed.

What I do not like are the little tray tables that go into the couch arms - too small and angled way down.  I'd love to find an alternative tray.

Am curious as to what line ruptured?  What caused it to rupture?  Were you able to see where the line was compromised?  My Dometic, after 10 years, developed a small leak that caused the ammonia gas to escape, thus it had to be retired.  Am sure you had to get a new one to replace yours, as I did as well.

Glad to hear your dealer took care of everything.  If only they took care of the 'details' at the factory, none of this would have happened in the first place.
