I'm getting ready to head from Maine to Florida and have suddenly (again) realized how cold "cold" is and was thinking about the camping trip home; especially the first couple of nights up north in the low 40s.

This summer I picked up some multi-layered insulated fabric at a yard sale and I just made liners that slip between my windows and shades. My plan was (is) that when I don't need them they'll live under my seat cushions. As I got to thinking about that, the back cushion covers my garage area and cold comes up from there so, since I had some left over fabric, I also insulated under that seat.

I really like this fabric and you can see it in this video.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW3teozONB0 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=  I didn't do this much work on shades but I don't think I'll need them often.

Looks really nice.  A fair amount of work, but well worth it when you see the results.  Another solution that we did about 8 years ago on our 177 was to take off the junky, hard to use window curtains that covered the large rear window.  Purchased a 2 cell window blind from Blinds.com.  Push up or pull down, instant view or privacy.  Also because of the 2 cell thickness, a great insulator on cold days and nights.

I used Reflectix, I purchased at Lowes.  Cut it to fit, especially on rear window.
