First, I know it's not a generator. I wish they called it something else so I don't have to keep explaining that. It's a bad name.(Aeiunsy isn't great either since I keep having to look up how to spell it).  Cry

I have an Aeiunsy that I want to connect to my Renogy 100w solar suitcase with voyager controller.  I have an adapter that makes it fit but I don't know what "battery type" to select on the controller.   Anyone done this? Anyone know if it's okay to do? Anyone know what I should select on the controller?  I emailed renogy but haven't heard back.

Thanks

That's not a generator, its a battery..sorry, couldn't help it.LOL

Looks like any nominal 12V (Vmp between 13 and 18V) solar module will charge it. The one they sell for it is 60 watts and doesn't have a charge controller so the battery in the "generator" must be self protecting from overcharging. That being said, its a lithium battery so I don't think you could go wrong setting your Renogy controller for lithium charging. It's a 288 watt hour battery so your 100 watt module should charge it in about 4 hours of full sun. Shouldn't be a problem.

I really do wonder if their market folks realize that they have created this scenario where that's what everyone says first when they talk about the product....and if someone fails to say they know it,  someoneelse says it (and sometimes even if they do say it--very funny offgrid) #SMDH

Anyway, thanks for the expertise. :)

I'm sure the marketing folks figured it was going to sell better if they called it a "generator" rather than a "battery plus inverter", but I wonder how many folks bought one and then wondered where the gas cap was. LOL
