I'm buying an RP179.  It has currently been winterized, so it has pink anti-freeze in tanks.  What are the proper procedures for flushing out the antifreeze so I can use the trailer after I pick it up?

Hook up to water. flush lines. It's non toxic and biodegradable.

Antifreeze shouldn't be in any of the tanks.  If it is, drain them first and then flush.  It could be in the black and grey tanks without a problem....

It can take a couple of flushes to get rid of the taste.

The first year of owning our 177 I did the traditional RV antifreeze for our water lines.  Unfortunately my taste buds are very sensitive and had a difficult time drinking the water out of our FW tank, I think because of the smell it left behind.  So after that I made a mixture of white vinegar and lemon juice, about 2 gallons and ran it through the supply lines and let sit for a day.  Flushed it out and that took care of the 'funny' smell in the lines.  Since then, the last 9 years, we now use compressed air to winterize.  Only need a total of 16 oz. antifreeze for the traps and toilet.  No leaks, no breaks.
