Has anyone added a memory foam topper to the crappy RPOD bed foam? I have a 176 with bunk beds and am looking for a memory foam topper to make them a little more comfortable. Any recommendations for upgrading the comfort of the bunks?

I had a 172 with the identical bunks you have. I added a sealy 3 inch gel topper, and it was much better. I don't know what year you have, but my bunks had a 250 pound limit, so your options are kind of limited. Good luck

The OEM mattresses are so crappy it’s better to just get rid of them and buy decent memory foam mattresses. Adding a topper is like putting a bow tie on a pig. IMHO. Pretty good prices on Amazon or other online stores.

Have not had a bunk bed, but after trying a topper on our OEM short queen mattress for a bit we just bought a new mattress.

I think our pig looks pretty darn good in his bow tie.

After 3 sleeps in our new 177 it was quickly replaced by an 8" Eurotop (a.k.a. mattress in a roll).  It is still just as firm and comfortable as the day we got it and that was almost 10 years ago.

My apologies. I certainly meant no disrespect to our porcine friends, just to FR’s crappy mattresses. 😜

+2 +3 +4 +5 on the mattress!  You would think after 10+ years they would put something just a bit nicer than what they put on the original 2009 models . . . . but they have NOT.
