I'm sorry if this has been addressed before I tried to find the answer. If I plug my Pod in will it automatically charge the batteries? If I turn the inverter off will it still charge?
Thanks!

It should, the "converter" should supply a charge to the battery. I don't know about the inverter question.

The converter changes 120Vac to 12Vdc to charge the battery. It is located directly below the breaker panel and with automatically charge your batteries whenever you are connected to shore power. There is a circuit breaker dedicated to the converter in the breaker panel which you can leave on all the time. If you shut it off the converter won’t charge.

An inverter changes 12Vdc to 120Vac. So it discharges the battery. It is an option in the newer rpods so I’m not sure where it is located in yours. There should be an on/off switch for it. If it is on and you are not connected to shore power you will get limited 120Vac power on some circuits. It won’t run your air conditioner or microwave. It is completely independent from the charger so you will still charge your batteries if you are on shore power whether you have the inverter switched on or off.

Thanks for the answers. Now I just need to find the breaker panel. I have a 2019 180. Still familiarizing myself with it.

Is it not under the dinette seat closest to the door?

I would love to see how FR wired in the inverter in the newer ones.

Next time I get the cover off I'll check it out. I know the converter is under that seat nearest the door. Thanks!

The converter is integrated into the breaker panel the door to which should be readily visible and accessible. The inverter may be hidden away somewhere.
