Hello,

We have a 2017 RPod 179. I want to move the drape brackets on the back window. Is there a rule of thumb of where you can screw into so the screws anchor into something? Or how can I anchor the screws?

Thanks for sharing that with me. I think I should be able to hit some wood in the corner if I stay on the same line as what is there. I figure it is worth a try.

Unless you are planning on putting really heavy stuff on the walls, if you use a coarsely threaded short screw [meaning that it won't penetrate the outer wall] and some 3M heavy duty double sided tape in conjunction with the screw, you should be fine for most stuff. Just cut the tape so it is concealed by the mounting bracket and is compressed by the screw. For heavy stuff, like a cabinet, you'll need to find the aluminum frame elements in the walls or the wood in the roof and secure your screws to them. A good quality stud finder can help in this regard.

Do you know if I Can I find the metal studs with my regular household studfinder?

If you’re screwing into the curved back wall I don’t believe there is any metal in there. I think there are horizontal wood stringers only. Check the construction video to be sure. The aluminum box tube framing is in the side walls.

Latin table mounting question. We have a 2015 179. How is the portion of the sidewall under the slide out constructed? From the video of the construction that I have seen, it appears to have a plywood insert. I am thinking of mounting the bracket to the inset with screws. Ii there an aluminum square tube at the bottom of the side wall that sits on the floor? And is there an aluminum square tube just below the slide out? If so, I would want to attach a square of 3/4” plywood to the aluminum top and bottom. Then I would bolt the bracket to the plywood. Any ideas would be appreciated.
