I've read where FR has switched to the Coleman-Mach 3+ AC as the 13.5k BTU standard for new R-Pods. I'm purchasing a 2022 iPod 196 with the 15k BTU upgrade, but I can't find any information as to what make and model AC that is. The Mach 3+ only comes in a 13.5k BTU size, so I know that's not it. Does anybody know?

I think I may have found the answer to my own question. I went to the FR R-Pod owner's page and looked at the available documentation for equipment in the Pod. The only literature for the AC was for the AirXCel 48000 series. Going to the AirXCel site, I used their product filters to get down to 120VAC 15k BTU ACs with 48xxx part numbers and discovered that the Mach 15 Medium Profile is the only match.  Just as a sanity check, I looked for 13.5k BTU ACs with the same remaining filters and the Mach 3+ came up.

We ordered our 196 in September 2020 with the 13.5K btu A/C. It arrived in February 2021 with a 15K btu A/C.

From the paperwork;
Model #48254-669
Mach 15 A/C

I would have preferred the 13.5K, but I guess they ran out and substituted the 15K unit? Or maybe it was a running change? Not sure why.

Thanks. That model isn't even listed on the AirXCel website. I suspect it's the successor to the 48204-669. The fact that it's a Mach 15 more or less confirms my research.

You can always run the fan on low.
