Hi all,

Bought a 2007 Chevy Silverado LT with tow package for towing my recently purchased 2015 Rpod 177. Need help identifying this module mounted beneath the steering column? Is is a "plug and play" module for the required brake controller? Thank you so much.

Cheers,
Jefferson

Hello Jefferson. That port looks like your OBD2 port (On board diagnostic port). That is used for diagnosing any engine/emission/exhaust issues.

Will research further, just in case!

You are most certainly welcome!

If you have a obd2 code reader, you can plug it in there to read any codes that have come up (when your check engine light comes on usually) and clear them...but that won't clear up any problems.

+1 re: Campman. That is the OBD2 port. On our F150 there was a connector behind the dash where the TBC plugs in. I just removed the cover (had to push in a couple of tabs). The TBC plugs into that spot and it's just like OEM. I bet your Silverado is similar.
