hi folks. A little perplexed. I noticed my turn signals and brake lights don't illuminate as they should. When I turn on my headlights I notice the Rpod does illuminate where it should though. When my buddy connected his tow vehicle everything worked.  So, obviously an issue with my vehicle. The trailer brake box under my console works intermittently.  Does this sound like a fuse issue or possibly something wrong with the plug/electrical system where I plug in the camper?  Any suggestions or thoughts appreciated.

Sounds like maybe the 7 way connector or it's wiring to me since the problem is occurring on both the brake control signal and the trailer lights. A likely culprit is the negative (chassis) ground connection which would effect all your other connections. Check to be sure that is making good contact at the trailer frame, tow vehicle frame, and at the connector itself.

+1.  Having had a similar issue after a winter of salt in Michigan I disconnected the ground from the battery and cleaned all the terminals on the 7 pin Bargman plug, then coated with dielectric grease.  Took care of that problem.

However I had another vehicle where all the connections before the plug were corroded and had someone replace the whole plug with new connections - problem solved.

I had similar issue my rPOD had a junction box for the 7 pin plug.  I found all the connection lugs to be loose.....tightened them and everything worked fine.
