Good afternoon,
I am new to the travel trailer world and to posting. Smile  Recently purchased 2023 190 r-pod and was hoping to get a couple answers.    When I drain the fresh water tank there is still, I am guessing a few gallons in the tank.  I have lowered the front end and have jacked up the right side.  I have also opened the low water valves.  I can hear and feel the water when I push up on the center of the tank.  The tank has a slight bow in the center.  I am guessing I should be able to completely drain the tank?  Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

I also have water (condensation ?) in the sky light, looking at the dome from the outside.  I do not see water on the plastic inside the shower.   I don't want it to mold so wondering if others have had this problem or if need to take it in?

I have a lot to learn and I appreciate any thoughts and look forward to being part of your community.

Happy trails,
Hood

Congratulations on your 190 and to your 24/7 owners manual utilizing this forum.  Two ways I have removed all the water from the FW tank: use a portable water extractor, run the small tube through the tank drain to the low point in the tank (I did that once) but the easier way for me is to find some sloping terrain and drive your 190 to that area and most of the water will come out.  Regardless, even if a little is left over I wouldn't be too concerned as we sanitize our tank 1x/year every spring and have used it for drinking water for 12 years w/o any ill effects.

Not familiar with the sky light situation, our 177 has 2 plastic 'skylight' covers but they are only single pane and can be wiped dry by hand on the inside.

+1 on the water tank suggestions. As for the skylight, if you have a concern, have your dealer check it out. Being a brand new 2023 RPod, it should not have a problem with the skylight. If you can email your dealer, send a couple of pictures  before taking it in. You would still need to take it in to get anything done, but the pictures may help to speed the process if repair/replacement is needed.

Thank you both for your comments!  I had jacked up the right side but putting more on a slope should do the trick!   I am guessing the skylight has a crack given the amount of water so I will have that check out.
thanks again.

I don't have enough water left in my fresh tank to matter. The biggest reason to drain it is to prevent freeze damage. A little water in the bottom can expand all it wants.

You'll also sterilize the fresh tank before you head out and need to use it.

I don't think it's ever necessary to completely empty the fresh water tank for the reason Colt mentions - the residual water will freeze but it won't expand against any structural part of the tank. I drive it to the storage location with the drain plug removed.
