Hi! I am a new owner of a very used 2017 178. I bought it for a really good price knowing it needed work, but I keep uncovering things. This one I knew going in…the previous owner threw out the plywood supporting the bed because it had water stains. What plywood thickness should I use to replace it? I’m sure this a serious newbie question and I am full of these type of questions!

You should not need to have anything over 1/2 inch. Thicker and it will be quite heavy to lift. Thinner, and it would not be rigid enough. We purchased a 177 back in January 2011, and still own it. It came with 1/4" luan under the mattress. Not very thick but as StephenH states, as long as the supports are in good shape, you will be fine. The mattress was one thing we traded out after 3 sleeps on it, it was already collapsing in the middle. The Cherokee Grey Wolf has 1/2" plywood. The 2016 R-Pod 179 had 1/2" also IIRC.
