Yes we went to I.B. Magee again.  The primary reason was, we were able to get a reservation.  Of course we didn’t start looking until 10 days before the holiday weekend.  All the state parks within reasonable travel distance were booked.  Anyhow, we have always enjoyed it when we have gone there.  Due to the wind direction and velocity (est 20-25) we decided to pull in so the slide-out side was into the wind and protected the R-Dome, which worked well until Sunday night when the wind picked up and slightly changed direction, just enough to make us uncomfortable leaving the dome up.  As a result, Monday we were domeless, and did we miss not having it up.  We did our normal things walking the beach and the jetty, reading and just relaxing.  We took a side trip Sunday to Aransas National Wildlife Refuge which we have enjoyed a couple of times previously. (All pictures below)

As a former tent camper, something that was fun to watch from the comfort of the air conditioned Pod was somewhat inexperienced tent camper taking down their tents and trying to fold them in the wind. (Been there done that)

Note, if you decide to go there they have changed their Check out Time to Noon.  We opted to pay for an extra nite so we could leave about 4 on Monday instead of noon and not have to hassle with the line to dump etc.

A pelican & heron who hang around where people are fishing on the jetty waiting for a handout.

Some of the traffic in the ship channel.

An Iguana which was found wandering around after last years hurricane at the A.R.K. animal rehab center at the Texas A & M Marine Science Center.

What we think is a juvenile Ibis at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge

Deer and Feral/Wild hog with litter. We saw one with 13 in her litter.

Lily pad flower

Very nice pictures, but now for the important stuff. How did that beautiful new tow truck do for you?

We love the new TV.  Even with a head wind of 20-30 I could maintain 55-60 mph at 2600 rpm.  Our previous TV would have been at 3000-3500 to maintain the same.  The truck actually rides a little better pulling the Pod.  Just need to get a couple more things for it. ie step rails & a radio to receive Sirrius/XM.
Thanks for asking.

Happy Podding
