I grew up hunting Morrells and Ginseng in and around the knobs, and shot the occasional squirrel for breakfast. Bit of frog gigging here and there, and turtle hunting in the rivers. As the only active hunter in our little country church congregation, I was asked once "what animals do you hunt?" by a woman who, while not condemning me, made it clear hunting wasn't for her or her household.. we haven't talked much since I answered her question with.. "all the ones made of meat" Had venison tacos last night as a matter of fact. ------------- |
