Got dropped of Thursday at Thomson Caucorpsman the Mississippi river (corps) with our dog Baylee, husband to return the next day. Spend the day enjoying the sunshine and a good book. Evening rolls in with the good chance of a thunder storm. I'm already for any thing to come. Few hours later the thunder and lighting hit. My dog starts pacing. The wind picks up the pod feels like it wants to take off. I felt like Dorothy in the wizard of oz with Baylee as Toto. I felt very save and very comfortable during the short storm. That was the only storm of the weekend. We had sunny and warm temps with only half the campground full. It was a great 1st time out this year.

It's a good thing you did not have to get out those Emerald slippers out and click your heels 3 times.

2Poders, I've heard that Thomson is great. Last summer we camped down at Fisherman's Corner in Hampton, which was a nice COE park, too.

When we were at Fisherman's Corner, a storm came rolling in early in the morning with sirens blaring.  We weren't cognizant enough to realize what was going on, but the pod kept us nice and secure while the worst of the storm was north of us.

Storms in the Pod are great, you feel plenty safe and protected but feel like you're right in the middle of it!

I love that sound of a hard hard rain hitting the Pod at night.  Smile

I'm glad you had better weather and temps the rest of the time though.

Pods seem to do quite well in rain . . . certainly better than in a tent!!
