Even while we were tent camping we usually brought along our crockpot since it is so incredibly easy to make this and only requires a few ingredients.

1 - Onion sliced (optional depending on if you like onions)
1 - 3-4# Pork Roast (butt or shoulder is best)
1 - Can of regular Dr. Pepper or Coke (your choice)
1 - Regular size bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce

Slice onion and put half in the crockpot.  Place pork roast on top and then scatter remaining onion over the top.  Pour in can of Dr Pepper or Coke.  Lid on crockpot and then cook on low for 8 hours or until pork will pull apart with a fork.  Take out roast, shred with forks/fingers, discard onions & soda in the crockpot, and then put the shredded pork back into the crockpot.  Add the bottle of BBQ sauce, mix it up, cover it and then heat it up on high for about an hour or on low for about 2 hours.  Eat as is or on buns for sammich's -- we typically will eat it alone for dinner with some sides and then make sammich's out of the leftovers for the next day.

Sounds awesome.  Going to try this.  We do a similar crockpot meal with 2-4 chicken breasts and 1/2-1 jar salsa in the crockpot.  Cook, shred, and pile it onto tortillas for easy chicken burritos!

I actually tried the pull pork recipe at the RV park on the coast, the aroma drifted through the park  people were asking what I was making, I even had offers they would buy sammish's LOL, I gave them a taste and they gave me a beer the taste was out of this world (Dr. Pepper)
