Hello all,

My wife and I picked up our new 177 a few weeks ago and took it out for its maiden voyage this past weekend. We put only about 150 miles on it camping relatively close to home, but it was fantastic. We all had a great time. (My wife, our 10 month old son, our two Pugs, and myself).  Upgraded from an older Coleman Pop-Up and we are very excited about the camping years to come. Our Colorado pulled it nicely.
It was cool and rainy all weekend, but we stayed nice and cozy in the Pod. We were definitely surprised by the amount of condensation on the windows/window frames/trim between walls and ceiling, but I have read quite a few ideas on ways to minimize that condensation.

I, too, took mine out for its Maiden Voyage this last weekend. It must be the Oregon weather because I got condensation too.  If I turned the fan on more often, it helped with the moisture, but then it was chillier, because you've got to keep a window cracked & it sucked in the chilly air.

Any other solutions to deal with condensation in moist, chilly Northwest weather?

a small dehumidifier or calcium chloride to remove the moisture in the air. I use Damp Rid(  http://www.amazon.com/DampRid-FG50T-Hi-Capacity-Moisture-Absorber/sim/B0029EGUNG/2 - http://www.amazon.com/DampRid-FG50T-Hi-Capacity-Moisture-Absorber/sim/B0029EGUNG/2  )when I store my Pod but it could work for when you are using it as well. That would be a nice low tech solution.

Welcome.  In cooler weather we always keep one or two windows cracked open and the vent open several inches.  We only use the vent fan while showering.

We're going to try the vent/cracked windows &/or a Damp Rid when we go back out in a few weeks camping on the Oregon Coast. I'll take some pictures with the Pugs on that trip Paige. We have two black pugs as well who have done quite a bit of camping with us over the last 6-7 years. We were all definitely comfy in the Pod even though it rained pretty much all weekend.
