After conferring with a senior Podder, I have tentativley scheduled a Roundup at Seaside Oregon for the dates of Aug.15-18th.  We were there earlier in the year and had a great time.  I picked an earlier date so that any families with school age children could still join us.  Great campground, shaded sites, on grass.  Near shopping and lots of things to see and do.  Will have a potluck on Sat. nite.  Come one, come all.  The Campground is Circle Creek Rv Park.  Safe Travels.

Being a newbie... How does this work? Did you set aside a certain number of sites and we claim one? Or make our own reservation through the park before they book up for that weekend?

Welcome again.  I left a message at the park which is closed until April.  I will ask them to set aside about 6 sites as we did earlier in the summer.  You would then call them directly and make a reservation, mentioning that your with the Rpod group.  Usually we get a small discount.  Obviously there isn’t any rush, yet.  Love to have you join us.  We really had fun last time.  I will as the unofficial Unleader, be responsible for a main dish for the potluck.  Usually its chili.  Your welcome to make anything you prefer.  Salad, hors douvres, dessert, etc.  Walla Walla Ron made a peach cobbler in a cast iron pot that he dug a hole for and covered with coals.  Was pretty good.  As we get closer I will post how many are going to attend and what they will make.  Should be fun.  The RV park is easy to get to and really close to lots of things to see and do.  Anyway, hope you can join us.  Was your maiden trip ok?  Safe Travels.

We will definitely plan to be there. We would love to meet our fellow rpod owners. We just got our rpod last August and have used it many times. Presently we are on a 5 week trip from Oregon to Arizona. It is working well, but we will definitely add some modifications when we get home and the winter is over.

Please let us know more details as you find out and let us know if we need to make our own reservations.

Right now August sounds pretty good with temperatures this weekend going into the mid 20's at night in Tacoma.  We hope that we can work these dates out in August to meet fellow northwesterners at Seaside!

Hey Bob, just signed up for Roundup this morning. She said they have 6 rPods so far. Sounds like a happening affair again this year. Looking forward to it. :-)
Thanks for your organizing efforts again.

Welcome to you also.  Not sure if were down to 4 or 5 spaces.  I have just been in touch with the park, and they will make more spaces available at the moment.  If anyone is interested I would contact the park ASAP.  Monday, FROG will mention it on their calendar and we could get an influx of all FR products.  Rpodders, if your interested, I would contact the park now while there is still space available.  Circle Creek RV Park, 503-738-6070, Sharon.  Safe Travels.

Ouch We are on a wait list for the Roundup. However, we are considering dry camping, as Circle Creek indicated they have open spaces for that. I have no idea, though, if that will put us too far away from the rest of the group.

It is unfortunate that our own camp out (on our property for Bluegrass, Old Time, etc. musicians) was not finalized until yesterday. We couldn't commit to the Roundup until we knew which weekend we would have a bunch of RVs and tents here. We missed our window.

Have a great time, folks. We look forward to joining all of you another time.

Got a call from Circle Creek...they had a cancellation, and asked if we were still interested. I told her we, indeed, were. So...looks like we will be able to join everyone for the Roundup. Woo-hoo!

We look forward to meeting fellow Washingtonians at the Seaside roundup!  We were fairly close to your area this last weekend with our R-Pod staying at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend.

See you in August!

Just wondering...and musicians out there attending this roundup? We always have two or three different instruments with us when we travel. Not my bass, though. But...guitar, mandolin, banjo...maybe even a dobro. Just depends on what Eric feels like carting with him.

Anyway, if you play, do bring your instrument!

Wonderful.  Glad you both can come.  Now we have 15 Pods and other assorted Forest River products, for a total of 27 units.  If anyone else wants to join what looks to be a fabulous Roundup, there are dry spaces with showers and dump station available.  We are now at a total of 54 happy campers.  Friday night dinner is being sponsered by Forest River with a BBQ wagon from Busters BBQ in Portland.  Sat. night will be a potluck and musicfest.  If any are interested contact Circle Creek RV Park in Seaside Oregon.  As Peter Potter of the long since gone tv show, "Hit Parade" said "be there or be square."  Safe Travels.

As we count down to our August Roundup in Seaside Oregon, I thought an update might make sense.  We currently have 31 RV's registered to participate.  19 Rpods and the rest assorted FR products.  We have 65 attendees registered for the Roundup.  We can still accomdate more but only dry camping is available.  The campground has clean showers and dry campers have access to a dump station.  If you would like to join us contact Circle Creek RV Park in Seaside Oregon.  503-738-6070.  See you in August.  Safe Travels.

We just signed up for a dry spot at Seaside. Looking forward to sharing and hearing everybody's pod adventures. We took ours around the US in 2011, lived aboard for about 6 months, traveled over 11,000 miles.
