Hi all,
I just took the battery out of the battery box on the trailer and it was sitting in about an inch of water. The pod is parked out side and there has been a lot of rain here for the past 3 days.
?? Has this hurt the battery and I thought the box was water tight untill I saw two small vents on top of the box.
Thanks for any help,Oh I winterized it by myself no problems.

Probably no harm to a new battery.  The cases keep in acid, they should keep out rain water!

I might do something like get a big shower cap that can be stretched over the battery box and still allow for venting.

Then you can leave the box on the A-frame for an occasional peek inside during winter storage.

You do disconnect the battery when not needed, right?!?!  And a periodic sip of juice from the charger??

Just drill a couple of holes in the bottom like I did.  Mine filled up 1/2 way with water.

To my surprise I found mine was 2/3 full when I took out for winter.

We had the same problem...drilled a couple hole and problem was solved. We always diconnected the battery and also throw it on a trickle charger during the winter.

This is one of the reason why I like to have LP tanks and batteries out of the weather, everything stays clean and dry.
