This year National Geographic Traveler magazine went to 200 places around the world to compile a list of 20 "Best of the world 2013" places to see. I'm proud to say that Saint Augustine made that list! If you haven't been here, put it in your bucket of places to visit. Well, only if you like significant history, great restaurants, lively nightlife full of accomplished local musicians, moonlight carriage rides, a pretty decent winery right in downtown, museums and galleries galore, and a short hop to some of the prettiest beaches in Florida! | My husband and I will be arriving in St. Augustine TODAY!!! We will be camping at Anastasia State Park for two days. Sounds like we should extend our stay there. |

I'll echo everyone's positive opinions on St. Augustine and add that Schooners is a great place for seafood...nothing fancy just great food! There is also a great little CG in Jacksonville called Hannas. It' s one of those nice little "secret" jewels that I just happened upon.
