We got out last weekend for our 1st trip/went about 50 miles and camped at Muskegon State park in Michigan. Could not of had better weather the only thing that we needed was hobo pie makers they were sitting at home, but the camp store had a set so now we have extra.

Only 40's and rainy this weekend, hopefully nice next week so we can try again.

Also saw a pickup pulling a newer pod thru Grand Haven on Friday evening. Anybody on this forum??

40's and rain camping is still better than work!

Congratulations on your first, of hopefully many, trips.

OK, I'll bite. What's a pie maker?

It is two cast iron square pieces on a metal stick like a hotdog fork. You put a slice of bread on each one and fill with pie filling or pizza sauce, cheese and meat and cook over a fire.

They are about the same but toasted over a camp fire makes them taste better then just a cold sandwich.

Sounds like good eating. I'll have to check it out.
