Subject: RDom zipper won't Zip

I'm out on my 3rd week in Northeast and the zipper on my RDom opened ABOVE the zipper doohickey.  I can fool with it and get it zippered, but 50% of the time the zipper doohickey won't close the zipper.  Any suggestion? Fortunately the mosquitoes aren't out!

Yes.  I've pulled the doohickey back up to the top with some moderate force and it seems to hold for a while when I zipper down but I'm wondering if its really Not closing the zipper teeth all the way.

I'm thinking about opening the top of the zipper (opening small patch on top) then reinstalling doohickey so that maybe the zipper teeth will seat better as I pull it down. At this point it's almost useless so I'm getting more extreme in what to do.

'Doohickey' is what I'm calling zipper head that travels up an down ... Is there another name?

And the tab is attached to the slide.  I have repaired several zippers in the past, but for the most part I have failed. It is something normally left to an upholsterer.  Or, if you are handy, sew in a new zipper.  You might also Google "zipper repair" and find a solution.

In Wisconsin we call it an "outfit." If there are lots of them it becomes a "regular outfit."

Not at the moment.

In the old German communities it would been a "Gesheft."
