Hi all!
The last of the preparations will be complete this evening. As the brake controller will be installed on the TV.
The 178 pod gets picked up on Wednesday. Soooo excited!!!
I'll be towing with a Volvo xc70.
First trip planned for Deep Creek MD mid September.
I'm a newbie to the world of towing, but I'm sure all will be fine. I feel like placing a "new to towing" on the back window of the rpod. Especially when I have to back it into a camp site for the first time.Embarrassed
I've been lurking thru the posts and have gotten some really great info. Thanks to all.

Hope to see you podding!!

How are you hitching? Are you using the stock Volvo hitch? If so, have you done anything to attach it better?

I only ask because of a post I read a while back on towing with a XC, on the Airstream forums.

OH.. and .. WELCOME!!

I've done all the research. I know all the specs. The t6 can handle it.
Volvo did install the tow system. Mainly because of the anti sway module that was installed. Don't want to void any warranties. Big smile

The previous owner towed our 2010 174 from Portland to Texas to Florida up to Main across the northern states back to Portland with a Volvo sedan of some sort. Had only a sway control. He said the hitch was installed wrong and had to have that fixed in cal.

Debbie and Mark, congrats on your new trailer! We're anxiously waiting for our 178 to be delivered. Just had to say I love the name of your trailer! My husband and I are still trying to come up with a good name for ours. Happy traveling!
